Sharjah24 reported that Deputy Ruler Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi witnessed the launch on 14 October. Najm comes from the Sharjah FDI Office, known as Invest in Sharjah. Khaleej Times reported that CEO Mohamed Juma Al Musharrkh said Najm was built because investors struggle to find relevant information quickly. Khaleej Times described how it works. Investors enter their requirements and budget, Najm returns options, and they refine those options with follow-up questions. The National reported that the first phase focuses on finding sites for factories and warehouses. Khaleej Times reported three agreements behind the data: with the Sharjah Department of Town Planning and Survey, Property Finder and Bayut. Public property data reaches Najm through an API, a link that lets one system pull data from another automatically. The National also named Dubizzle. Gulf News said Najm acts as a first point of contact, so investors get answers without waiting for an adviser and can start before they arrive in Sharjah. The National framed the launch as part of Sharjah’s push for foreign investment despite geopolitical uncertainty. What it adds up to
Najm shows what an AI agent does at work. It takes a stated need, searches several data sources and returns options you narrow down by asking more questions. It finds candidates, but judging whether one is a good investment stays with the investor. The same split works in your own week. Pick a search you repeat, such as shortlisting suppliers or event venues, and write down the requirements you’d give an assistant. Let AI build the long list, and do the final comparison yourself.
